Should and Can

and uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi interview confirmed that we can do many
things but we must do only such things what we should. It is to say that only
such things should be done where heart and mind agree.
It is hard to expect that
business organizations who work for profit, follow or will follow this in
practice. Saying so for public consumption is one thing and
implementation is entirely different thing.
Organizations are run by
humans at different levels. Humans by nature are ambitious. They
understand that growth of the organization depends on their individual as well
as team efforts. And growth means, growth of the individual side by side
the organization. More importantly, growth means benefits and
profits.
Well expecting
individuals to be doing what should be done and still guarantee profits is
rather utopian. There is hardly a business based on pure ethics or that
has not taken advantage of the loopholes in the laws and system.
Uber or NDTV are no
exceptions.
